Course Descriptions:

Birthing Basics (Original Price: $159)

Make decisions about the birth you want and prepare for the alternatives. Feel more confident and prepared for your upcoming delivery as you gain a deeper understanding of the childbirth experience. In class you will learn about the signs of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, hospital protocols, the stages of labor, variation in labor, cesarean sections, the role of the birth support person, epidurals and other pain management options, and the postpartum period.

Unmedicated Birth (Original Price: $95)

Whether you are in the early stages of considering an unmedicated birth and want to gather more information or have fully committed to the idea this class will help you feel as confident as you can prior to delivery. This course will deep dive into not only the physical tricks and tools to manage contraction pain but the mental strategies to put mind over matter and “do the hard thing!” You will learn the benefits of movement in birth, what relaxed" feels like, discuss tools you can use to assist, learn how to prepare your home and partner for an unmedicated birth, and practice breathing strategies to reduce your fear, tension, and pain. This class is based on the premise that you don’t have to commit to a single method (i.e. Bradley, Hypnobirthing, Lamaze) to have an unmedicated birth, you just have to commit to yourself and your goals.

Hi, I'm Lisa

I have been interested in birth since I was 6 years old. It was at 6 that I remember finding out a friends mother was an OB/GYN and around the same time my little sister was born. It left an imprint that would greatly shape my life.

I now work as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women's Health providing prenatal care and caring for women throughout their life. I am also a wife and mother of three.

I chose to have unmedicated births not because I think something is wrong with an epidural but because I wanted to experience it all. I wanted to limit my interventions and maximize my experience.

I chose to have unmedicated births, but with my first child it did not work out (and that is ok!!). When having my second and third kids I knew exactly what I needed to do. Now I am going to teach you!

What People Are Saying

"We gained tools [for birth] and therefore felt more confident after watching the Unmedicated Birth videos, pausing them, and trying out the movement, breathing, visualization, touch, and vocal exercises."

"Hearing Lisa's demonstrations of mantras and breathing, and watching her movements enhanced the drawings and verbal descriptions."

"Because Lisa has given birth three times and coached countless patients through their births, she could articulately describe what the different stages of birth could feel like.'
